Streaming Audio/Video… a Felony?

S.978, the “Ten Strikes Bill” will make the streaming of copyrighted content more than ten times, a felony. This bill is already making its way to Senators who will vote on it this week.
What does this mean for us if it passes? Well, according to DemandProgress.Org, putting background music in a youtube video can be categorized as infringement as well as posting videos of your friends singing karaoke. The “Ten Strikes Bill” is so broad that many things that people post could be potentially unlawful and this will restrict people’s Internet freedom. What do you guys think about this? Are they taking it too far? Let Bristol Studios know what you think. Also, read the rest of this article here and tell lawmakers to vote against S. 978.
