Justin Timberlake is now a key investor in MySpace.

As we already revealed, MySpace was bought by Specific Media for $35 million on July 29th.

Guess who is partnering with Specific Media? Justin Timberlake!

Thats right. Although he doesn’t have much business experience (aside his roll of Napster founder, Sean Parker, in the film ‘The Social Network’), Timberlake will have a major role in the future of this deteriorating company.  With some much needed creativity, maybe Timberlake and Specific Media can work together and build MySpace into a strong social network site again.

“There’s a need for a place where fans can go interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect. MySpace has the potential to be that place,” Timberlake said in a statement. “Art is inspired by people and vice versa, so there’s a natural social component to entertainment. I’m excited to help revitalize MySpace by using its social media platform to bring artists and fans together in one community.”

Specific Media and Justin Timberlake plan to reveal more details about their MySpace plans later this summer.
